We forgot to post our wonderful Redwoods trip. We went back in June. It was amazing. We headed for the Redwoods on a Thursday evening. We went about half way and stopped to sleep in a cabin is a small mountain town. It reminded us of Orofino. We stayed 2 night is the Redwood National Park. We went to Mattole Beach. As we were on our way to the coast Rob assured me it wouldn't be a very long trip, but we kept driving and driving. I started to doubt him and then we came up over the hill and there it was. The ocean was breathtaking. It was so beautiful and SO worth the trip. We walked the beach, found starfish and crabs, and enjoyed the view. There were miles of beach and not a sole in site. It was perfect. We camped on the Avenue of the Giants and did lots of hiking on trails that Andre could do. At every big tree or sign he would stop and want us to take a picture of him. He loved being out there. We also found the tree you could drive through but Rob chickened out. He got the truck right down to it and then had to back out. Good thing because the next truck was smaller than us and rubbed against the tree. We did lots of laughing at that one. We wished we could have stayed longer in that amazing place. That trip was one of the best trips our family has ever taken.

Uncle Anthony Comes to Visit From San Diego

Uncle Anthony arrives for a visit from San Diego. It was very nice to see him and his girlfriend Amani (excuse me if I mis-spell). We had a great time. It was the first time Andre met Uncle Anthony and they played and played the whole trip. We mostly spent quality family time together, we did make a trip to Chico, CA that is where we played in the water at Bidwell Park. When it was time for Anthony to leave, Andre said . . . "Where'd Anthony go" over and over for a few hours. He misses his uncle. We never thought both of us would end up in CA but here we are. It is our turn to make a trip down to San Diego. Anthony had some shirt on from down south that I was not sure what it meant . . . you might have to ask him about it!!!!!!
Mother's Day and A T-Rex Named Sue

Mom wanted to go swimming on mothers day so we headed out to Black Butte Reservoir to do a little swimming. Andre is posing with the flowers he gave to his mother! A few weeks later we took a trip to Redding CA and went to a museum, they were showing "A T-Rex Named Sue." Brad was also here that weekend, it was good to see him.
First Trip To San Francisco

This was our first trip to San Francisco. It was a blast. It was a quick day trip, it is only about 2.5 hours from where we now live in Orland, CA. Oh, I guess I should mention that we moved from Idaho! Rob got a new job in Willows, CA with the Forest Service and Jess now works at as a nurse in a specialty clinic at the local hospital. In SF we did most of the tourist stuff, we went to an aquarium, fishermans wharf and Pier 39.

MMMmmm a bit from the past
We have finally been able to receive internet at our house. It has been almost a year since our last post, but hopefully we will do this a bit more frequently. This is a bit of what you missed. We will try not to go back too far but we are doing very well. Andre is like a little man now. More to come soon.
