Wow, it seems like I was just writing about our new addition and here it is a year later already. Well, little Drakey is 1 year old. We had a day of celebrating that he really could have cared less about. It's funny how we make such a big deal about a 1st birthday and they really have no clue what is going on. The best part of the whole day for the little guy was eating cake. Andre and I enjoyed decorating the house and making the birthday cake. Andre helped with wrapping the presents and letting Drake know that it was his special day. We enjoyed being together and celebrating. I look at my family and where we are in life and I can't help but feel overwhelmed with joy. I live in a beautiful area, I have an amazing husband, and I have 2 perfect boys that I get to spend every single day with. I thank Rob nearly everyday for letting me be home with our kids. I like to look back at photos of Andre when he was this age so I thought I would share some. Happy Birthday Drakey. I love you so much and I am so blessed to be your mommy.

Loving the snow
Time for an update. We have been here in Washington for about 4 months now and we love it here. We have the most wonderful house in a cute little town. We get to look out our amazing windows at the beautiful mountains everyday. We have lots of deer that live in the area. Rob is really loving his job. He has taken on his role as the District Ranger with ease. I am loving my role as being a mom who gets to stay home with her babies. It was a bit of an adjustment at first because I was so use to working full time but I am really happy here. Being home with my boys is where I am suppose to be. Andre started preschool a few weeks ago at the elementary school. He loves school. He tells me he wants to go to school everyday. It is 2 1/2 hours a day, 4 days a week. Gives me some time with Drakey. It's nice. Every morning at the way to school we pass a bunch of turkeys. About 20 of them are gathered in someones yard and Andre always says, "Looks like the turkeys are at school." We have made a few trips to Spokane to see a hockey game and to visit with the Shaffer's. I am loving the snow. I really missed having it when we were in Cali. Drake is already 9 months old. He has started crawling and he is fast. He gets around with no problems. He loves to hang with Andre. They will play together in Andre's room for hours. Makes me happy that they love each other. Hope that never changes. Just a notes, visitors are always welcome. We have tons of room here. Here are a few photos of us in our new town.

Moving.... AGAIN!

We are at it again. We are moving our little family to Northeastern Washington in a few days. Rob go a job as a District Ranger on the Colville National Forest. What a great accomplishment for him. I am so proud of what he has done in such a short amount of time. People tell him, "you have done in 10 years what I have yet to do in 40!" I am so proud of my husband. We will pick up and leave the first part of September. It's a little bitter sweet. We are looking forward to the future and the new adventures it is going to bring, but we are also going to miss the amazing friends we have made here in Cali. Life is a journey and if we don't take advantage of the opportunities we are given we could miss out on some amazing experiences and relationships. I never thought this Idaho girl would make her way down to California but I am so happy we made the decision to move here. My job gave me so much experience in such a variety of specialties. I was able to work with some amazing physicians who were willing to teach and mentor me. We traveled to so great places while we were here. We made it to San Francisco, San Diego, and the Redwoods just to mention a few. Most important we formed some priceless relationships with amazing people. Andre goes to preschool with Sharon Overholtzer. Jay and Sharon are like our family and we love them dearly. Sharon loves Andre with all her heart and it brings me so much relief knowing he is being taken care of by such a caring person. Andre keeps asking me, "Mom, will there be a Sharon in Washington?" Sharon brings Andre comfort and I wish we could pack her up and take her with us. He is really going to miss her. This is a life long friendship that we will always value. Thank you Sharon for being in our lives and loving us. We are really going to miss you and your family. I am looking forward to the future but recently I have realized I need to live for now. I have always been the kind of person who can't wait for what is next. I need to enjoy the now because I will never get it back. I thought I would post a few pictures to recap our last 2 1/2 years in California.
